Job Title: Process Development Engineer
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline (required), Master's or PhD desired
- Education in engineering with experience in biology/biotechnology or medical devices
- Sound scientific methodology and critical analysis of results is essential
- Experience with GLP/GMP, cell culture and medical device disposables is desired
The ideal candidate will have a BS or Master's degree plus 3-5 years of experience in biomedical, chemical or mechanical engineering, preferably in a biotech or medical device environment. The candidate must be self-motivated, capable of working alone and in groups, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Description:
- Develop and execute Process Development and Engineering projects.
- Responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing process, instrumentation and equipment from the laboratory through pilot plant and manufacturing scale-up
- Develops and recommends new process formulations and technologies to achieve cost effectiveness and improve product quality
- Establishes operating equipment specifications and improves manufacturing techniques.
- Involved in new product scale-up, process optimization, technology transfer and process validation activities.
