In addition to using Tissue Repair Cell (TRC) technology in regulated clinical trials, certain non-U.S. regions allow autologous cell products to be utilized in patient treatments without further registration or marketing authorization. This enables Aastrom to gain experience through the limited treatment of patients to support the development of our clinical trial strategy. From time to time, anecdotal data from these activities may be published without our prior knowledge. On occasion, we may choose to publish select anecdotal data as patient case studies to illustrate the treatment of patients suffering from various medical conditions that could benefit from regenerative therapies; these are not meant to represent clinical trial results or suggest that any future clinical trials will demonstrate that TRC technology is effective in any specific medical application.
